The basic workflow is as follows:

 

1. Bag Picking and Delivery: A robotic arm or suction cup precisely picks up a pre-made bag from the storage bin and places it into the bag clamping track.

 

2. Bag Opening: A special bag opening device (such as a vacuum suction cup, gripper, or bag extender) accurately opens the closed bag opening, preparing it for filling. The bag opening success rate is a key indicator.

 

3. Bag Opening Detection: A vision system or sensor detects whether the bag opening is fully open. If not, this station skips filling to prevent liquid spillage.

 

4. Quantitative Filling: The filling head descends or the bag rises to reach the open bag opening for high-precision quantitative filling. This is the core station.

 

For liquids, gravity filling, servo pumps (gear/plunger pumps), or time-pressure filling methods are commonly used.

 

For easily foaming liquids, the filling head can be designed to extend to the bottom of the bag for bottom filling or have anti-splash functionality.

 

5. Venting and Secondary Positioning: After filling viscous liquids or sauces, vibration venting may be necessary to remove air from the bag and ensure a smooth seal.

 

6. Heat Sealing: The bag opening is heat-sealed (e.g., heat sealing, ultrasonic sealing). Some models have vacuum or nitrogen filling functions, which can be performed before sealing to extend shelf life.

 

7. Finished Product Output: The sealed bags are released onto a conveyor belt, which can be connected to a weight checker, metal detector, inkjet printer, case packer, etc., to form a fully automated production line.
